The Companies section is your central hub for every entity in your portfolio. From a single list you can browse all registered companies, jump straight into a company’s cap table, manage its securities, record company transactions, and download official documents. Click Companies in the sidebar. Centi loads a table listing every company registered under your organisation. Each row shows:
ColumnDescription
NameThe company’s display name, which links directly to its detail page
CountryThe country of incorporation
Legal typeThe legal entity type (e.g. AB, Ltd, GmbH)

Company types

The Companies list shows all companies in the organisation. Fund vehicles and other structural entities used purely to hold or structure investments do not appear in this list as they do not have a cap table.

The company detail page

Clicking a company name opens its detail page. Use the tabs to move between different views of the company.

Cap table

The default tab when you open a company. It shows the full ownership table — every shareholder, the securities they hold, and their percentage ownership. You can download the Share Register and Export Cap Table from the buttons in the page header. See the Cap Table page for a full walkthrough.

Securities

Lists every security class defined for the company — ordinary shares, preference shares, warrants, and standard convertibles. From this tab you can:
  • Add a new security using the Add security button (choose Ordinary share, Preference share, Warrant, or Standard convertible from the dropdown).
  • Edit an existing security by clicking it in the list.

Pool

Available for portfolio companies when option pools are enabled for your organisation. Shows the option pool allocation, unallocated units, and how the pool relates to the overall ownership structure.

Signatories

Displays the authorised signatories for the company. Use the Add signatory button (visible to non-finance users) to register a new signatory against the company record.

Bank details

Stores the company’s banking information, used when generating payment instructions or settlement documents.

Company details

Shows core registration data — legal name, organisation number, incorporation country, contact name, and contact email. These fields are used on documents and exported reports.

Recording company transactions

For portfolio companies, a Company transaction button in the top-right of the page lets authorised users register corporate events directly against the company. You can only register company transactions here, meaning corporate events like splits or transfers between company entities. Any transfers where a stakeholder is involved should be registered via the program page as all stakeholders ownership should be part of a program. The available transaction types are:
Transaction typeWhat it records
New issueAn issuance of new securities to a company shareholder
TransferA transfer of existing securities between companies
SplitA forward split that increases the number of units in a security class
Reverse splitA reverse split that reduces the number of units in a security class
ReclassificationA conversion of securities from one class to another
RedemptionA buy-back of securities by the company
WithdrawalA withdrawal of securities from a shareholder
Each transaction type opens a dedicated modal with the fields relevant to that event. Completed transactions update the cap table and securities data immediately.
