The structure chart gives you a visual map of how your organisation’s holding hierarchy is assembled. Every company in the chain - from the portfolio target up through fund vehicles, passthroughs, and co-investors - appears as a node, connected by edges that carry the exact share, vote, and value percentages for each ownership relationship. Use it to verify the cap structure at a glance, trace ownership paths, and share a clean picture of the hierarchy with colleagues. Open the structure chart by selecting Structure in the left sidebar while an organisation is active.

What the chart shows

The chart renders two categories of node: company nodes and grouped ownership cards for individual stakeholders and co-investors.

Company node types

Each company in your holding hierarchy is classified into one of the following types and displayed accordingly:
Node typeWhat it represents
Target (Portfolio Company)The operating company that is the direct subject of the investment. Labelled with a Target badge to make it easy to spot.
Fund VehicleThe legal fund entity that holds shares in the PortCo or in other vehicles below it.
PassthroughAn intermediate holding entity whose ownership flows through to the beneficial owners above or below it.
Co-investorA third-party investor that holds shares alongside the fund.
Each company node displays the company’s display name, registration number, and country. Click the node to navigate directly to that company’s detail page.

Individual stakeholders card

Individual stakeholders are collected into a single Individual stakeholders card rather than being drawn as separate nodes. This keeps the chart readable when a large number of people hold shares. Stakeholders at or above the stakeholder threshold (see Chart settings below) are listed by name inside the card, each with their stakeholder type — Person or Investment vehicle — and, when enabled, their ownership percentage. Everyone below the threshold is collected into an Other stakeholders row showing how many holders are grouped and their combined percentage. Click the grouped row to open the full Stakeholders list.

Co-investor grouping

Co-investors are grouped in the same way. Co-investors at or above the co-investor threshold appear by name, while smaller holders are collapsed into one row showing the grouped count and their combined percentage of shares. If only a single co-investor remains after grouping, it is drawn as a regular named node instead of a card.

Ownership edges

Every line connecting two nodes is an edge to open a label that shows:
  • % of value — the owner’s share of the total equity value
  • % of shares — the owner’s share of the total share count
  • % of votes — the owner’s share of voting rights (shown when the security carries voting data)
You can also display these figures permanently on every edge — see Chart settings below.
If your account has the need for fully diluted share data configured, each percentage can also display a fully diluted figure in parentheses — for example, 42.50% (39.80% FD). The “FD” notation indicates the fully diluted figure.

Chart settings

Click the Settings button in the top-right toolbar to open the settings panel and configure how the chart is displayed:
  • Always show ownership % — display on every edge instead of only on hover. When enabled, you can choose which metrics to display (Value, Shares, Votes) and switch on Include fully diluted to add fully diluted figures in parentheses.
  • Stakeholder threshold — stakeholders in the company are shown by name; the rest are grouped into the Other stakeholders row. Defaults to 10% and can be set anywhere from 1% to 50%.
  • Co-investor threshold — works the same way for co-investors. Co-investors at or above the threshold appear as named entries; the rest are grouped. Defaults to 10%.
  • Always show UBO on investment vehicles — show each investment vehicle’s beneficial owner inline instead of on hover.

Highlighting an ownership path

When you hover a company node, you can click the pin button that appears. Click this button to highlight the ownership path — the chain of owners leading from that company up to the top of the structure. Click the pin again, or click anywhere on the empty canvas, to clear the selection.

Chart controls

A button group in the bottom-left corner of the chart provides three controls:
1

Zoom in

Click the + button to zoom into the chart. The button disables automatically when you reach the maximum zoom level.
2

Zoom out

Click the button to zoom out. The button disables when you reach the minimum zoom level. You can also use your scroll wheel or trackpad pinch gesture to zoom freely.
3

Re-centre

Click the crosshair button to fit the entire chart back into the viewport. Use this whenever you have panned or zoomed too far and want to reset the view.
You can pan the chart by clicking and the canvas.

Downloading the chart

Click the Download structure button in the top-right toolbar to export the current chart as a PNG image. The file is named after your organisation and the current date — for example, Acme Capital - Structure chart June 10, 2026.png — a browser’s default download location.
Pin a company before downloading to export only its ownership path. The button label changes to Download selected structure, and the exported image is sized to fit just the highlighted nodes — ideal when a counterparty, such as a bank or KYC reviewer, asks for the structure chart of one specific company.
