Every user in the Fund Portal is assigned one of five roles. Your role determines which sections of the portal you can see and what actions you can take. Roles are assigned at the firm level and can be scoped to one or more organisations within that firm - except Firm Administrator, which automatically spans all organisations.

The five roles

RoleScope
Firm AdministratorAll organisations in the firm
Organisation AdministratorAssigned organisations only
Investment ProfessionalAssigned organisations only
AdvisorAssigned organisations only
FinanceAssigned organisations only

Firm Administrator

Firm Administrator is the highest-privilege role. As a Firm Administrator, you have full access to every organisation within your firm without needing to be explicitly assigned to each one. You can:
  • View and manage all sections of the portal: Overview, Companies, Stakeholders, Programs, Repurchases, Transactions, Valuations, Compliance, Templates, Files, and Users.
  • Invite new users to the firm and assign or change their roles, including promoting users to Firm Administrator.

Organisation Administrator

Organisation Administrator has broad access within the organisations they are assigned to. As an Organisation Administrator, you can:
  • Access all portal sections available to Investment Professionals, plus user management for your organisation.
  • Invite users to your organisation and update their roles - except you cannot assign or change the Firm Administrator role.
  • Manage company details, securities, signatories, templates, and compliance settings.
If you need to grant access across multiple organisations, ask a Firm Administrator - Organisation Administrators can only manage access within their own organisation.

Investment Professional

Investment Professional is the standard working role for day-to-day equity operations. As an Investment Professional, you have full operational access across all portal sections:
  • Overview — organisation-level insights and ongoing programs.
  • Structure — visual ownership chart for the organisation.
  • Valuations — create, edit, and publish valuations.
  • Companies — manage company records, securities, cap tables, signatories, and bank details.
  • Stakeholders — view and manage individual stakeholders and investment vehicles, including KYC and bank details.
  • Programs — create and manage programs, send offers, track subscription and signing status.
  • Repurchases — create and manage repurchase transactions.
  • Transactions — register and review all security transactions.
  • Compliance — manage KYC and Power of Attorney workflows.
  • Templates & Files — upload and manage document templates and organisation files.

Advisor

The Advisor role is intended for external advisors or support staff who need visibility into equity operations. Advisors have the same navigation as Investment Professionals. As an Advisor, you can:
  • View Overview, Structure, Valuations, Companies, Stakeholders, Programs, Repurchases, Transactions, Compliance, Templates, and Files.
  • Assist with operational tasks such as reviewing offers, checking compliance status, and exporting data.
  • Switch firms using the firm selector if you advise multiple firms.

Finance

Finance is a focused, financial-operations role with a narrower view of the portal. The Finance sidebar shows only the sections relevant to financial processing:
  • Programs — view equity programs and subscription offers.
  • Repurchases — view repurchase transactions.
  • Transactions — view the transaction history.
  • Loans — access loan information (when enabled for your organisation).
  • Files — access organisation documents.
Finance users do not see the global search, company management, stakeholder management, compliance, templates, or the full structure chart.

Inviting users

Firm Administrators and Organisation Administrators can invite users from the Users page. To invite someone:
  1. Navigate to Users in the sidebar.
  2. Click Invite User and enter the person’s email address.
  3. If an existing Centi user is found at that email, you can update their role and organisation access rather than creating a new account.
  4. Select a role and choose the organisations the user should have access to. For the Firm Administrator role, access to all organisations is granted automatically.
  5. Click Invite User to send the invitation.
Organisation Administrators can only invite users to their own organisation and cannot assign the Firm Administrator role. For cross-organisation access or Firm Administrator assignments, contact a Firm Administrator.
For a full walkthrough of user management, see Users.
